Step 3: Configure the aggregation resolution

Now that you have defined which properties to use, the next step is to define the finest spatial resolution at which your data will be represented.

To maintain scalability and interactivity, your data will be processed and aggregated into spatio-temporal grid cells. The dimensions of those cells define the most detailed resolution by which aggregation is performed.

For this:

  • Click on the 3rd step at the top: Configure Processing Settings

  • Change the value under Spatial Resolution from 25 to for example 5 meters.

Figure 1. Configure the spatial resolution for the point data aggregation.

When uploading data, the data will now be partitioned in cells of 5 by 5 meter instead of the default 25 by 25 meters. The platform also creates lower resolution levels to maintain scalability when zoomed out.
