In this tutorial, you will learn how the xyzt.ai platform can be used for maritime intelligence using vessel AIS data. First, you will learn what AIS data is by exploring one of the existing sample projects provided on the platform. Second, you will create a new project and attach an existing vessel AIS data set to it. Afterwards, you will learn to perform the following analysis tasks:
Using the visual analytics capability
Analyze a maritime event and its impact on vessel traffic.
Analyze traffic change in different anchorage zones, using the split view capability.
Perform a global analysis to understand usage of different ports and terminals by your competitor.
Using the trend analytics capability
Look at traffic activity by hour of day grouping.
Export the computed results to a CSV file for opening again in another tool, such as Microsoft Excel.
Using the origin-destination capability
Look at how traffic flows between different ports.
Understand origin-destination matrices and the different visualization modes.
Learn how to compute travel times and changes in travel times between different regions.
In addition, you will learn how to build a dashboard and communicate your analysis results and how to share it with your co-workers and customers.
